About Lisa

In 1990 I met my first Shamanic teacher on the island of Kauai and thus began a lifelong study of Shamanic healing.  I spent more than two decades healing myself from  a most difficult childhood which included the loss of my parents when I was a toddler, being left in the care of a grandmother who was dealing with advanced alcoholism and a long familial history of abuse. My beloved grandmother died of cancer when I was  20 which catapulted me into healing myself or dying. I relied on my spirit guides to get me through that dark period and began seeking out anything I could find to heal the pain, issues of abandonment, loss and the mental and physical abuse suffered in my childhood.

I believe I created these experiences to make me the person I am today. I know they have given me a unique ability to help others work through their issues and find true joy and divine purpose in this beautiful life we have been given.

I studied Huna (Hawaiian Shamanism) for several years completing advanced Shamanic training on Kauai in 1991 as well as bringing my teacher to the mainland to do trainings in Austin.

About the same time I began studying with Jose and Lena Stevens (The PowerPath) and have continued studying Shamanism and traveling the world training with indigenous Shamans: in the Amazon jungle with the Shipibo; with the Q’ero in the Andes of Peru; with the Huichols in the Sierra Madres mountains in Mexico; three Shamans around the country of Guatemala; and also healers in the Native North American tradition. Recently, under the mentorship of a Paiute elder we built a sweat lodge on my beloved Fairy Glen Farm where I live in Boulder, CO. (see fairyglenfarm.com)

I have studied Conscious Breathwork extensively with Sondra Ray and Leonard Orr, the founders of modern-day Breathwork practices. I have also traveled to India to study Breathwork at the Babaji Ashram. Babaji is credited with originally bringing Breathwork to the west and is a very important part of my spiritual life.

It is said that the breath is the way Spirit enters the body and is one of the most important healing tools we have.  Along with shamanic ceremony and rituals I assist people to live thier fullest and most empowered lives.
